Help Johnny Romano Kick Cancer

The good folks at South Shore are putting on a blood drive for Johnny Romano. If you can't make either of the blood drives, go donate at any of the area "The Blood Center" locations and make certain that they know you plan to credit Johnny with your donation. Use the code from this drive K824 or "Team Johnny" or call the Blood Center at 713-207-6689 and ask for Menerva; she can help with your designated donation.

Not sure if everyone knows about Johnny Romano's battle, so I'll do my best. Johnny is a rad kid that was diagnosed with leukemia a few years ago (he is 10 now). Even though he was going thru chemo, transfusions, etc, Johnny would skate every chance he got. At a make a wish fundraiser at southside, Jim Thiebaud met Johnny and put out a real deck for him with proceeds going to make a wish. Johnny's cancer has returned with a vengence and he is now battling for his life in the hospital.
You can follow his story here at http://www.j-grom.blogspot.com/ - a blog his parents update regularly.
Deluxe has a page set up where you can leave johnny comments that has a little clip of Johnny skating just prior to going back into the hospital - http://www.dlxsf.com/jr/2008/05/20/johnny-romano/#comments.
a site for paypal donations to his family - http://www.johnnykickscancer.com/

here is a shot of Johnny at the Galveston skatepark before it opened - the city let him skate it the day before he was admitted back into the hospital.
