I'm back in the US after a 5 week stay in Europe. We will be here for a month ,possibly 6 weeks ,packing our stuff for the move back to Spain and preparing our house in Florida for rental.
If anyones available for a skate session, let me know.
The 16streets crew hit OSP yesterday to see who the mystery pro skater would be on that leg of the Vans tour .It turned out to be Tony Alva. Steve Van Doren the founder of Vans shoes was flipping burgers and hot dogs in the parking lot. He was very friendly and took some time to chat with us. We had a great day skating the bowl and sipping Grumpy Juice from our blue cups. Ripper of the day award goes to my buddys son Isaac Crawford.Big airs everywhere.
Here's a Movie by Jason Crawford:
Here's some of my photos:

2 young Russian kids were celebrating their 13th birthday. When Steve Van Doren found out,he went in the Vans bus and produced two very nice watches for them. They had no idea who he was even!
I subscribed to Thrasher from 1981 to about 1984 ,so finding this link and re-reading all these epic issues of Thrasher was a walk down memory lane for me.. Of course todays version of Thrasher sucks in comparison and is nothing more than a shoe catalog. Anyway, check the link for a glimpse of what the old Thrasher was...I'd say modern day Juice is a good description of what Thrasher mag was in 1982..
My buddy Gav sent me this footage of him skating in his local park in Dublin Ireland.
I went there last summer but unfortunately it pissed rained the day Gav and I hit this park..
I walked around and checked it out, hoping it would dry, but never actually skated it.Its a great little park with endless lines..
Maybe next time.
