Getting ready to pour a new batch of coping

I built the mold yesterday.Im making 4' pool blocks now instead of the 2 footers.

Here's the mold.I'll probably mix up the first batch after work today.

I also changed the profile of the coping slightly. Here's some of my old coping for comparison.
If anyone needs coping give me a call on 321-594-4252

Yeah we hit it!

So ...Im having the usual Sunday morning mini ramp session with my neighbor Keith .... I just happen to look over the fence from the deck of my ramp at the house behind thats been in foreclosure for a few months... And I couldnt fucking believe my eyes!Someone drained the pool overnight...
Well needless to say ...We hit it...(briefly) There was a bit of neighborhood activity going on around us so we didnt want to blow it completely..
Here's the photos..Its still got some water in it ,but that should be gone by tomorrow!
We can really hit it hard then.Today was just a teaser.
What an epic weekend.Dons Bowl, the protec pool party, and a bonus backyarder to top it all off.
Life's good.

Trip to The Solar Bowl -May 2008-Part 1

As usual the hospitality from "the Don" was great.
He was there waiting for us at noon with a smile on his face, even though he was dying from a serious hangover!I tried to give him a "hair of the dog" but he would'nt go for it.
We skated 2 sessions yesterday.
The first one for about and hour.It was a great session and Dan Booger Brown was killing it.

So we decided to take a break and fire up the grill.
We cooked up some bratwursts and the customary "stupid" chicken and then broke out the beer. The beer began to flow ...It went down well ...possibly too well even.
The second part of the crew started to arrive.
Justin and Jack drove down from Jax
Tom G. arrives from Palm Coast..
A heated session ensued..We were under the influence for the first few runs but then everyone started skating hard and pushing each other to go for it.Tom G. made everything look easy.
Everything was going well until I got a call from Marshall to come downstairs from the bowl and check out "The Don".It seems that Don injured his hand in a minor wipe out.It was obviously hurting him and looked like a simple dislocation. He asked me to try and pop it back in place for him ,I obliged but it wasnt happening. The bone just kept floating back out of place.Thats when we knew it was more serious.
So we decided to call it a day and get Don to a hospital...It was a bummer to end the day like that but it was the right choice.
As it turns out,his hand was broken (bone completely severed)and needs surgery. He is scheduled to go under the knife tomorrow.
Get well soon brother and thanks as always for your hospitality.
